What we do
WHAT WE DO
Cape Town Oncology Trials is located in the Western Cape. We run pharmaceutical trials with patients from all over the country.
We work with medicine not yet registered in South Africa to be at the forefront of the development of novel oncology treatments sponsored by the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Being at the forefront of innovation enables us to improve the quality of life for patients who otherwise would not have access to certain medicine.
OUR TEAM
Our clinical trial unit conducts clinical trials in Cape Town, to find new ways to improve treatments and the quality of life for people with cancer.
Every clinical study is led by a principal investigator, who is a medical doctor.
Our principal investigator is Dr Conrad Jacobs and the sub-investigator is Dr Corlia Coetzee.
Clinical studies also have a research team that may include clinical research coordinators, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals.
